How to do Pixie Lotts makeup

The makeup maestros behind fashionface.tv have made a makeup tutorial exclusively for cosmopolitan.co.uk. Steal Pixie Lott’s super cool makeup look with their how-to video guide.

Video Excerpts:

I am going to do the lashes now.  I’ve got Boholash.  These are Soundsystem lashes. I going to pop them on the eyes. They are quite sticky already but still need to be glued.

They do come with the glue, however, I prefer to use DUO glue which can be bought from MAC.  It stays on really really well.  Place a really small amount down the back side of the lash. Leave the lash for a few seconds and then you just going to look down. Place the lashes in the middle. And tape and tuck..the other two sides, and now look…

Apply pixie lashes

Your eyes are absolutely amazing. In my opinion your makeup looks okay with out the lashes, but with them it looks reallllly nice.

pixie lott is just stunning, and i’m really loving her style. make-up is one aspect, part of the look is her hair as well. just ask your hairdresser to do side swept bangs and show her that picture to help her get a look at it.

    More tips on the eyes.,

To get a colour that intense and also make sure it’s not running down your cheeks two hours later, the trick is to layer your products.

Start with a good eye primer (e.g. Urban Decay Primer Potion) all over the lid area. Then apply a black base of some sort – to get a very intense colour & good lasting power, try something like MAC Paint Pot in “Blackground” or a black gel liner such as MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack, all over the lid up to the crease. (If you’re on a budget, Sleek make a cheap black liner gel for less than a fiver, or try ELF cream eyeshadow in Black Licorice).

Then use an intensely black eyeshadow over the top (e.g. MAC Carbon), concentrating the colour close to the lashline. If you pat it on with a firmly (rather than trying to blend it on), then you’ll get a better build-up of colour. Use a blending brush to blend out the shadow, so that you don’t have any harsh lines. Smudge black eyeshadow along the lower lashline.

Finish by lining the waterline of the eyes with black eyeliner, and mascara.

@Shaniilou1995 Never feel that way. Never. Never compare yourself with someone else. She’s beautiful, but you’re beautiful, too. A woman is naturally beautiful anyways (not even the stars in the nebulous cosmos compare), and there’s nothing more beautiful than a caring person with a tender heart and wonderful character. Any woman can look like a million bucks (doesn’t take much to transform any given woman to a dazzling gem), but not all have a heart of gold. Have that and you’re gorgeous.

Besides her prettiness, I think what makes her so cute is her chill factor (and her accent)! She’s so comfortable to watch!
